Abruzzo is a beautiful, unspoilt region of Italy, with direct flights from UK with Ryan Air to Pescara airport. It has good links throughout Italy and is only 2 1/2 hours from Rome across the stunning Apennine mountain range. We have holidayed there in 2009 twice so we must love it! And of course I have been busy selecting photos to paint from and here are a couple so far:
