I have been painting animal and children's portraits for family and friends for several years now, being inspired initially by our own dogs. Our dogs Greta and Merlin are featured in the Pets Gallery, as is Carla, a beautiful black GSD who we lost to cancer 7 years ago. We live in Sussex, in the UK. I love animals, and dogs in particular, which I hope shows in my paintings. The paintings on the page entitled "Landscapes/Wildlife" are mostly from photos taken during our travels in Britain, Scotland, Wales and Sussex, where we live. I particularly love painting water, which is a predominant theme. _________________________ I have experimented with most media and have settled on pastel for my portraits and landscapes, although I will work in other media (watercolour or acrylic) by arrangement.
